So I changed the 'default audio crossfade' to 'constant gain' but whenever I apply an audio transition via the 'shift+D' shortcut, it still defaults to 'constant power'. This is frustrating me like crazy so I'd really appreciate some help...
You use this option?
Hi @jason_6607 - Thanks for submitting your bug report. We need a few more details to try to help with the issue.

What version of Premiere Pro are you on? I do not see this issue on mac in Premiere pro version 25.1 after following Ann's advice and right clicking on the Constant Gain then selecting Default Transition.
Sorry for the frustration.

Shift+D will apply the default audio transition to selection.
Ctrl+Shift+D will apply a single audio transition.
Try resetting preferences.

Thanks for the reply, so i tried resetting the preferences already and that didnt work, regardless, the shift+d command works for trabsitions but not crossfades. The real crossfade command is 'Apply Audio Crossfade Transition' which is unbound. When I assign a shortcut to the command, it works, but it always applies a 'Constant Power' crossfade instead of using the default crossfade I have set (Constant Gain).

Hi @jason_6607 - I believe you are right the default transition for the shortcut "Audio Crossfade Transition" is Constant Power.
However, you are able to right click on "Constant Gain" in the Effects panel and set that as a default transition. You can then use the keyboard shortcut Shift+D which will apply the "Default transitions to selection" after control selecting your audio cut points.
