My Adobe QT 32 Server is Not Responding in Premiere CC when I export.
Export then takes forever and the CPU goes to about 99 %.
Is does this both in Premiere CC and Media Encoder CC
Anyone with a solusion?

I wanted to add that although this discussion seems more for MAC systems; it is definitely a Windows/PC issue also…. I have been plagued with this issue at least 1+ years and the only way I have been able to get anything done is that most of the source clips I have been using were CineForm 10bit. We are now putting (many) 1920X1280 QuickTime clips on the timeline and I can’t get several minutes into anything before I freeze-up or crash. I am experiencing all of the issues stated on this (and other) forums pertaining to Adobe’s QT 32 server’s handling or management issue of QuickTime… I don’t have any other software’s/codec’s loaded like Xvid or Real (although I do have FileMaker) and I don’t have any problems with CineForm, AVI’s or generic Mp4’s. What else should I do or try on a PC? Does anyone know of any other sources where this problem is addressed? Thank you for any help!
Chuck

Hi ShekNet,
Did you try reducing the number of cores using msconfig>Boot>Advanced options? Post# 40. We just tested reducing to 21 cores and it worked (22 cores we got the error back again).
Not great but at least we got it working.

Uninstalling Blackmagic Design software worked for me. Fortunately I just need it to be installed to upgrade my Blackmagic camera's firmware.

The solution at the moment to reduce those crashes to a minimum on a PC is to disable Hyper-Threading in BIOS. It is the same thing as reducing the number of cores but much easier to execute.

Hi guys,
I experienced same Adobe QT32 server problem (crashes, freezes, etc...). After some time it crashed and Premiere had no possibility ti see or use *.mov files in Premiere. I tried every solution I found on the net... reinstalling of Adobe (CS6), CC cleaner, changing of VGA drivers (GeForce GFX 560Ti - tried 4 versions of drivers... new, old...), Quick Time reinstallation, disabling of Intensity Pro BlackMagic drivers (I'm using latest firmware)...etc...
Anyway... I just applied two Windows updates I skipped in fresh Windows installation (Win7 Professional - 64bit), several weeks ago and VOILA...!!!!... so far... Premiere works as it should... without crashes, freezes, etc...
Updates that resolved problem so far was:
- Update for Microsoft XML Core Services 4.0 Service Pack 2 for x64-based Systems (KB973688)
- Intel – Other hardware – Intel (R) Management Engine Interface
After my shit*y experience, I really hope this will resolve problems for you guys!
P.S. my BlackMagic Intensity Pro is disabled at the moment... I will let you know what is going to happen after driver installation.

Well i can report I am on a mac and have no 3rd party codecs installed, and I still get constant freezes in QT32 server. I just had an occasion where the video stopped and the audio kept playing. I could do other operations like save and switch sequences, and the audio kept going and the video never came back.

Hello Kevin,
Since you are on Mac, the first thing I would suggest is this: Premiere Pro CC, CC 2014, or 2014.1 freezing on startup or crashing while working (Mac OS X 10.9, an...
Make sure the permissions is set correctly on all Adobe folders.
You should also troubleshoot QuickTime and make sure that protocol is not being blocked by web security software, etc.
Also, test in a brand new project, not an updated one.
Thanks,
Kevin

From Premiere Pro QE:
"The QT32Server process always shows as “Not Responding” in the activity monitor, this is normal (in OS X 10.9.x, and later - KM). The way to tell if QT32Server is actually hung (which happens if QuickTime crashes or get stuck and never returns control to us) is to look at the CPU load for that process when doing some QuickTime intensive thing (non-native import and export)."
Thanks,
Kevin

I've tried everything and still having problems even with basic playback. Has there been any progress on this issue?
