Applying transition from out point to in point

New Here ,

How can I apply a video transition from the out point to the in point, so that when the sequence loops there is a smooth transition from the end back to the beginning (e.g. Cross dissolve) ?

Thanks

Jim

How to make a looping clip:

Trim back and front.

Now cut the clip somewhere in the middle.

Place the second half in front of the first half or v.v.

Apply transition on the joining clips in the middle.

When you export this clip and set the player to loop it will loop seamless.

You can't.

You need to make sure the last clip in the sequence and the first clip in the sequence are the same clips, with the outpoint of the last clip in the sequence is one frame earlier than the  first frame of of the sequence.

Then when it loops, it should (within the limitations of the player, loop seamlessly.

The one way I can think of to do that is to add the first clip to the end of the sequence, but only the 'handle' of the lead-in to that clip, and put a transition on that join.

In other words, if the transition is a half-second blend of each clip, take the half-second of the first clip from just before it's "in" point and park that at the end. Do the transition.

Then as the sequence is looped, it's seamless.
