Audio tracks duplicate when merged?

New Here ,

Hi everyone I hope you can help...

Whenever I try and merge a clip with audio files it duplicates itself like crazy. See images to see what I mean.

Just so you know...

Track 1 - Original in camera audio

Track 2 - Lav mic 1

Track 3 - Lav mic 2

The Lav mics were rode go's version 1 so I had to interpret footage to make the left and right audio channels (2 Lav mics) into two separate audio tracks with their own left and right channels. I think this has something to do with the reason merged files duplicates like crazy but how do I fix it??

I've attached photos to see what I mean and what merged settings I use.

Merged clips is very limited, and has a TON of issues.

Have you tried using the multicam process to join your video and audio? That's the main process suggested for linking separate video/audio. And there's specific info in the following new documents.
