Audio/Video stutters every 10 seconds despite all trouble shooting playback solutions

I'm experiencing playback issues. Like clockwork, every 10 seconds of playback in the timeline, the video and audio skip for a split second and go back to normal. Then repeats every 10 seconds. I've tried all of the troubleshooting (changing audio hardware settings, 1/4 quality playback, proxies, and unchecking high quality playback). Nothing seems to work, and the error doesn't seem random. 

 

I provided a screen capture, but the screen capture doesn't show the audio/video stutter; it just pauses for a split second at 7 seconds.

Mac OS 15.6.1

Mac Studio Apple M3 Ultra 96GB

Premiere Pro 25.4.1 (Build 3) Also tried 25.5

I think I've been able to resolve the issue. I moved the cache to a completely different drive and haven't had a problem yet. I can't get the blue circle/progress monitor to come back.

Hi @dddeededdedded -   Thanks for submitting your bug report. We need a few more details to try to help with the issue.

I see some activity in the upper right corner can you check the Progress Dashboard to see what’s running? I also notice you have several sequences open. Does the issue still occur when only one sequence is open?

Additionally, please check your Audio Hardware settings and ensure that Default Input is set to “No Input.”

Audio Hardware is set to no input. 

The problem persists with only one sequence. Even with a simple stringout, it stutters. 

Progress Dashboard? I'm not sure how to check, but with non-essential programs closed and the activity monitor not showing anything, the problem persists. 

 

I didn't have this problem a month ago. Everything seemed to work fine. Avid appears to work fine.

Hi @dddeededdedded - In your video in the upper right hand corner there is a circle with a blue line around it.  That is your progress dashboard.  Please click it and let us know what is happening.
