Avid features still missing from PP2017.1?:
Still annoying me daily in 2017.0.2, be nice if some have been implemented in 2017.1
1. Head & tail fades. Park the playhead at point you want to be full volume, target tracks, one button to fade up from clip start (cross fade if not from gap) or fade down to clip end. Save so much time on dialogue edits & nats transitions
2. Transition dialogue - add transitions, with duration, in to out
3. Allow audio transitions to include gaps. i.e. If I have edit point selected between gap and clip let the transition be centred, or end, on edit (currently can only start at edit.
4. Deal with transitions as clips are moved. Avid used to, very annoyingly, have transitions disappea when clips were moved. They fixed this a while ago and now transitions generally retain their duration as they collide with other clips. PPs implementation is even more annoying as the transitions appear to stay in place, but are always fades to/from silence so always have to be removed and replaced.
5. Amend join through edits. Where a through edit is not a matchframe/invisible (i.e. There is a level change or some other difference) then the through edit symbol should be different (in avid it is red instead of white) to signify this. When 'joining through edits' it is very unlikely that you want these differences removed. Also give us the option to 'remove through edits in to out'

The best way to get your voice heard by the product team is to file official feature requests with detailed explanations of what you would like to see: Feature Request/Bug Report Form
This forum is for users to help other users, and while you will see Adobe employees here, it's not how the product teams communicate with users. Every feature request gets read (make sure you do one FR per item, this whole list won't fly as a single FR) and gets logged in a database. The product team takes FRs heavily into account when developing the roadmap for Premiere and the more people that request features the higher the chance they have of appearing in a future version of Premiere.

1 and 2 Premiere Pro has had for a long while now. The first with transitions and the second by double-clicking on a transition. The others would be new.

I have also made these requests at adobe.com/go/wish.
I'll make a quick bid to show the avid transition dialogue when a get the chance - in the meantime, if you're interested...
Here's my head/tail fade video - PP does not do this - https://www.dropbox.com/s/eqdpzhew3idahk4/head%20and%20tail%20fade.mp4?dl=0
As an extra - my Autopatch request from about 3 years ago - https://www.dropbox.com/s/sy71wfce2tksgbg/detailed%20autopatch.mp4?dl=0
Not dissing PP, I just want all the most useful features in all the NLEs I use!

Thanks Steve - perfect!
It obeys track selection, or clip selection - with the latter overriding the former

Huh? I've been able to do that since before Premiere went Pro.

Keywords are From and To. Location of the playhead sets the transition duration.

Better approach to 'through' edits & their removal, in my opinion.
