Backgrounds and Text

Hi Everyone,

I'm a 16 year old student who's self-teaching herself how to use the adobe programs, and out of them all Premiere Pro is the one I am finding hard to nail!

Anyway, I have edited all my text so that it starts distorted, goes blurry, goes sharper and then the catch phrase appears underneath the main text. I then added a background image underneath all of the text, however when I first play the video the background image copies what the main body of text does (it goes distorted, blurs and sharpens). But I want the background image to do nothing whilst the text is animated on top.

The main body of text that moves is animated using adjustment layers, and I'm trying to keep it animated whilst the background image stays still.

I've looked around on Youtube but can't find any solutions to my problem, so thought I'd post on here to see if anyone has any advice to give me please?

Thank you in advance!

Phoebe

That's a rather ambitious 'starting' point with your text. Have you tried breaking it down to doing each one of those, just individually? Then do two at a time ... and up to your final effect?

Are you using an adjustment layer?

try selecting everything that you've animated and the adjustment layers and doing a right click/nest.

leave the background out of the nest and at the bottom of your timeline.
