Hello, I'm done with my edit and am now trying to relink to my original 4k files, but the "link media" feature will only link one clip at a time.
I transcoded my original 4k mxf files in DaVinci to quicktime proxy files with the same file names. When relinking I moved my original media folder up to "trick" premiere and also unchecked file extension in the media file properties search box. Still will only link one clip. I would normally just batch relink in DaVinci but I only have the lite version, which cannot output 4k. Thank you!
I do recommend the native Proxy work flow described below. It just works better.

For this project, Premiere Pro will only automatically relink files in the same folder, so if you have one clip per folder, you'll have to relink them all individually.

Typically, when relinking, you select the first properly named file showing in the list, hit ok, and PrPro does the whole folder ...

I'm also having a relink problem.
I had to move the Masters to make space on the hard drive, and because the project has gone on for 3 years now and I'm sending it for Post Color & Sound.
The files are linking to the Backup Folder, not the Masters.
So I tried:
1 - Select All
- Offline All
- Locate: File by File --> It relinks the file I have selected to the correct folder, but automatically relinks all the others to the Backup Folder, not the folder I selected.
2 - Select an individual file in the sequence timeline
- Offline
----> 100 files list in the Link Media Window. Most of these are linked to the wrong (Backup) folder.
- I individually selected each file for Offline.
- Then Premiere puts a gray question mark next to the file name, and I can't go back up to Locate the previous files. The cursor doesn't move up.
- I tried batch Offline by selecting more than one file in the Link Media window, and same thing.
3 - I Offline'd 1 file.
- 435 show up in the Link Media Window.
- I relinked and located them to the "Master" folder.
- When I open the Sequence, they are still saying "File Path" --- "Backup" folder in the MetaData.

It will look in subfolders frequently during offline/relink processes. So I know some editors working heavy projects with masters and proxies "old style" had their master files in a separate folder tree from proxies just to avoid this hassle.
