Best Method To Export An Already Exported Media

Community Beginner ,

Hi,

I have exported a 4k video with the best setting with software encoding, VBR 2 pass filter and it took hell lot of time. Now I have been flagged on Youtube and need to do the changes to this video. I feel If this is already exported with best setting my edited video I should be able to export with basic settings using hardware encoding and cbr which should not compromise the quality, but I am not sure. Can anyone here help me to understand if even for the edited video I can use a lower exporting paramaters(hardware and cbr or vbr pass 1) or again I need to use best setting for best results?

IMHO, software encoding produces better results/quality that hardware encoding does. To shorten export times, use CBR instead of 2 pass VBR. I also think CBR produces better quality that any kind of VBR in Adobe apps.

The quickest export would be Apple ProRes LT that is a format YouTube accepts, but the file size will be huge so if it´s a 30 minutes file it will take time to upload unless you have a really, really good upload speed.

I have already exported it once. But had to do a minor edit. So should I use the best export setting again or can I go for a lower export setting assuming the output is already once exported in best setting?

Youtube will re-encode your footage anyway,

I personally would go for H.264 and there are already Youtube export settings for that.

So you could keep your high res QuickTime export, and if you can do your minor edit

on the already exported QuickTime, you can re-export as H.264 with a Youtube setting

of your choice.  Faster for uploading as well...

Of course you should use the best export setting if you want high quality on YT. 🙂

Si, esposible usar el video exportado con la mejor calidad y exportarlo de preferencia siempre en 2 pases (aunque tome un poc mas de tiempo ) Es algo que comunmente hago cuando el tiempo es limitado.
