Can't browse my LUTs premiere 2025

Community Beginner ,

I'm trying to select my personal LUT's to apply on a video, but when I go to Creative tab -> Look, I can't browse my own LUTs, there's simply no option in there for me to choose, but a list of standard available LUTs.

I used to browse them with no issues on Premiere 2024, and yes, all my LUTs have the correct extension .cube, as I already use them for years now..

Also, when I click Look tab and all those "SL" LUTs appear it also auto-clicks the one my mouse is hovering, so idk, might be a bug or something? Please help!

It's actually pretty easy, and it is in the Help document ... but they do leave out a crucial bit!

In the folders specified below, you must add the Technical (Lumetri Basic tab use) and Creative (Creative tab use) folders yourself. Placing the LUTs in those folders. And if you want to use the Input option, in the Color Management settings, those would go in an Input folder again you would need to create.

=========================

To install a custom LUT file, create one or more of the directories listed below:

macOS

Available only to the local user

Select Go > Go to Folder from the macOS Finder and enter this path: ~/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Common/LUTs

This location contains the Input and Output folders. Premiere Pro uses LUTs stored in the Input folder for these operations:

  • Modify > Interpret Footage > Color Management > Input LUT, which is Modify > Color > Input LUT in Premiere Pro v 24.0 and later.
  • In Premiere Pro 24.0 (or later), LUTs stored in the Input folder also appear in Lumetri Color > Settings > Source Clip > Input LUT.

You can also create the following folders to store LUTs:

  • ~/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Common/LUTs/Creative - LUTs stored here appear in Lumetri Color > Creative > Look
  • ~/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Common/LUTs/Technical - LUTs stored here appear in Lumetri Color > Basic Correction > Input LUT.

Copy your custom LUT files to the respective folder.

Available to all users

You need to create the /Library/Application Support/Adobe/Common/LUTs folder (absolute path) and all other folders that you need inside it. To create these folders, you need Admin credentials.

Windows

Available only to the local user

On Windows, LUTs are stored in the C:\Users\<user_name>\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Common\LUTs\ location. This location contains the Input and Output folders.

Premiere Pro uses LUTs stored in the Input folder for this operation:

  • Modify > Interpret Footage > Color Management > Input LUT, which is Modify > Color > Input LUT in Premiere Pro v 24.0 and later.
  • In Premiere Pro 24.0 (or later), LUTs stored in the Input folder also appear in Lumetri Color > Settings > Source Clip > Input LUT

Available to all users

You need to create the C:\Program Files\Adobe\Common\LUTs\ folder and all other folders that you need inside it. To create these folders, you need Admin credentials.

So which is it?  Store them in C:\Users\<user_name>\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Common\LUTs\ or C:\Program Files\Adobe\Common\LUTs\.  I created two folders under the first path, and NONE of my LUTs show up.  "This location contains the Input and Output folders"???  Huh?  The location contains two folders (which you told me to create) technical and creative.  When I click on the down arrow in Lumetri Color (under input LUT) they are nowhere to be found.  I have to browse, select a LUT, see if it's the one I want, and then repeat the process until I find one.  I liked it when you could quickly select the LUT from the drop down menu and if it was no good, click through the LUTs.  This was so much easier.

When I click on the down arrow these are the only LUTs I see:

But I still cannot get my LUTs to load automatically.

Frustrating...

Ok, that's really a pain and quite odd.

How about showing a screengrab of the full folder tree from Finder/Explorer including the folder open with LUTs in it. Maybe there's something "we" could see there ... maybe?
