CAN'T Edit Caption style in Latest Premiere Pro 25.0

I just updated the 2025 version. I imported the .srt file and found that the panel for adjusting subtitles in Previous Essential Graphic disappeared. I couldn’t find any settings to change the subtitle font, color, and size in the New " Graphic Template " Panel .

Does anyone know where to find it?

Either I am stupid or it simply does not help with the problem:

Where exactly does the new properties panel give me any option to edit the subtitle style. I need to burn in some subtitles in specific formatting, fonts and colors. How do I do that?

Agreed. This is an absolute deal breaker for me. Currently finding other software.

Select your subtitles in the timeline and the Properties panel will give you all the options.

Screenshot shows subtitles.

If you are using graphics as subtitles?

Same scenario.

Changing graphics to captions is a different question: have no idea.

I was struggling with this too, nothing at all in the properties panel for subtitle clips. What fixed it for me was a File > Save a Copy. Now the new file and the original are suddenly showing the subtitles properties panel correctly.

I can confirm this work for me, after copying my project I was able to edit captions on the 'Properties' window, much appreciated. This needs to be fixed ASAP.

Do you, or does anyone, know whether we still have the ability to edit multiple subtitles simultaneously in Premiere Pro 25? I'm able to access "properties" and edit by double-clicking one subtitle, but it's not allowing me to select all subtitles and double-click to open properties. To be clear, I can select all subtitles, but I can't open properties and make the same changes to font size, style, etc. all at once like I used to. The thought of having to make these edits one subtitle at a time would be awful!

what if you click the properties panel, but it doesn't show anything? I created these captions by transcribing the sequence, and then clicking "generate captions" from there. I am trying to figure out how to change the fonts, and I can't figure out what to do. The adobe info page still refers you to the "Essential Graphics" tab, which I obviously don't have anymore. Did I make the captions in the wrong way?

Ignore me lol. The copy method worked for me, too. I realized I had the original open, still, not the copy.

tbh, i think this is probably all i needed to do as well. i'm not sure that the copy was even necessary in the end. so simple, but also so tiresome and annoying haha

Hi. Yes, I keep having the same issue. It's the properties panel we need. Windows > Properties – while a caption block is selected in the sequence. It would be nice if this panel also appeared when in the Captions editing workspace.
