For some odd reason i cant find the "title" button so I can add a title. I've done it in the past before for some reason I can't find the button and when I click on the title panel nothing happens.
This was removed in 11.1 since the new Essential Graphics was added. You can now go to File menu > New > Legacy Title.

wait, so all my presets and templates that I made, are now gone?? I used those for subtitling in my videos, but you're telling me that you guys got rid of title templates and presets? As well as existing ones?

Hi AbramP,
No, don't worry. You can still use the Legacy titler and your existing title styles. Let us know if you continue to have trouble locating those. There's a whole new titling system, but you'll have to create brand new styles for it.
Thanks,
Kevin

Hi Anaghas,
File > New > Legacy Title
You can also create a custom keyboard shortcut for launching the Legacy Titler.
For more information check this: FAQ: Where is the Legacy Titler in Premiere Pro CC 2017 (11.1) located?

Hi Patrick D,
Sorry for the issue. Have you checked out this doc? Missing library, templates, template projects in Adobe products You may need to move the content into the current application folder.
I found an issue, however, after creating a custom keyboard shortcut for launching the Legacy Title Templates dialog, the application crashes instantly. I'll file that bug now.
Thanks,
Kevin

But you fail to see the problem, even if you move your template to 11.1 folder.. there is no option to load a template, some of us have months of work that can not be recreated to look the same and what about the work and time it will take to re create these.
If i load an old project up and convert to the new format the tile it there but there must be a way to add a template load option to the legacy title menu..
I want to downgrade but cant see any option on the cloud app but uninstall, how can i drop back down to 2017cc 11.0

I do see the issue now. Thanks for drawing my attention to it. You found a workaround for this issue, so thanks for that. Please file a bug here.
One thing you might try for now is to create a new project with just the content in it. Then, save it to your documents folder. Whenever you need to load a template back into a new project, just inspect this "Template" project from your Media Browser. You can then import any of the templates you made in the past into current projects. This can act like a conduit to continue accessing your legacy templates.
I hope that info helps a little.

I see the option in my Creative Cloud application to reinstall 11.0. You aren't seeing that? If not, you might try going to Creative Cloud Preferences and signing out. Then sign back in. See them now?
Thanks,
Kevin

Ive tried that and the only options i see are Uninstall.. but the main 3 titles templates i need, I have saved as a project with the title only and its time to move forward because I do love the new Format... Thanks again for your quick reply... but i do think and optio to load an old template should be made available, but make no option to create or save a new template will phase the old format out but give most chance to re create what they need..

There is no template option in the Legacy Title anymore, but
You can import any title from any project via the Media Browser.
Alt drag in the timeline, this will make an independent copy, open in Titler and change what needs to be changed

Wow why did I not think of that, Ann saves the day..... BUT even better than that, you can import any title from your template folder and edit it as need be once in your timeline

If you want gradient stick to the legacy Titler.

I have no problem with new tools and added functionality in Premiere. But why limit the access to other tools? I find it really annoying. I cant find any justification for removing the text Tool from the right click menu other than trying to influence user usage. Something we dicide. Bring the right click menu option for the text Tool back please.
