Can't properly adjust speed percentage (bug?)

New Here ,

I'm brand new to Premiere, I've done some digging and can't find anything on this issue.

The first time I change the speed of my clip (right click > speed/duration,) it works fine. But if I want to change it again, the input field for the percentage value gets all wonky. It'll jump from my original 1000% to like 1.058% and I can't bring it over 1%. Its as if the decimal point (that I didn't add) makes it glitch. I can't backspace to erase the whole number, I need to be clever about selecting part of the number & overwriting it with the number I want.

Screengrab of what I'm talking about:

Dropbox - speed bug.mov

(the pauses are me hitting backspace over and over but the numbers arent deleting 😕 )

There's no way this is the intended function, right? Does Premiere just really not like speeding things up by 1000+%? Or did I find a bug?

I'm on a Mac, High Sierra 10.13.6 and this is Premiere Pro CC version 12.1.2 build 69.

It seems to be working OK/as expected on Windows 10 Pro (1803) with PP 12.1.2

I haven't solved it, I downloaded a different video editing software and am moving on without Premiere. So... not answered, but I guess I don't need an answer now haha

Resetting Preferences might have worked to get things back on track.
