Can't replace placeholder clip on MOGRT after updating to premiere and after effects 2025

I've made some MOGRT on after effects 2024 that allowed me to use placeholder media and make the replacement directly on premiere. After updating to the newer version, i cannot replace this placeholder anymore, not dragging and not even with the options menu (that have all options disabled). I've already reexported the files using the new versions of both softwares, and it is still not working.

Is it a bug or the the way this clips are replaced have changed?

Hi @Whell39007790i2kt - In version 25 the Essential Graphics panel has been replaced by the Properties panel.  Please see this article Properties panel for Premiere Pro

Yes, i see the error now, thank you and sorry for dumping the frustration

I think everyone gets the frustration. If you had been working also in Illustrator and InDesign, apparently those have had the "context aware" Properties panel for some time. And it was an obvious and appreciated addition to Premiere.

But for those of use with not much time in some of the other apps, it was a shock. It behaves oddly at first. But as people get used to it, they seem to think it's a lot faster.

I am reconsidering my nine custom workspaces. As several things are now handled in that Properties panel that requried separate panels before ... I might be cutting down to three or four.

Everyone's mileage always varies ...
