Can you map speaker names to media files to automate sequence creation?

I've been editing audio-only podcasts where there are a total of 3 speakers. I basically edit these like a custom designed/themed Zoom call with the speaker thumbnails and bios and then highlight each speaker as they talk (I also generate an audio spectrum to keep things interesting). I've been using the Transcript to quickly find the locations where the speaker changes and then manually drag-n-drop each PNG onto the timeline. But it got me thinking --- what if I could tell Premiere to associate an individual speaker with a PNG file in my project library and to place that file in the timeline when that person is speaking. Is this possible?

Tantalizingly close, but I don't think that's possible today.

@Kevin-Pease,

In the public Beta version, the developers are now working on filtering the transcript by Speaker. I wonder if that might be helpful. I have not played with the feature yet.

This sounds like a feature request @Kevin-Pease. Would you like me to move your post over there? Let me know.

Thanks,
Kevin

Yes, please. It sounds like it is not currently possible. Thanks
