Question

Cannot import AVCHD files from Canon C100

Hello, I've shot with a Canon C100 and edited with premiere many times before but it is not working with my most recent shoot. I'm using Premiere 23.1.0 with a Mac M1Pro from 2022. I've uninstalled/reinstalled it as well as tried to import with legacy version of Premiere. My footage is not corrupt--I've been able to review it in Quicktime so I'm not sure what the issue is.

When I try to import, I don't get an error message. Premiere simply just does not respond to the file.

Hello @Jocelyn26447524ntze,

Thanks for the message. It’s been a long time since you filed this bug, and I apologize for the lack of a response. Are you still having this issue? If so, the team will need more information from you to reproduce the bug. Can you provide the information required here? How do I write a bug report?

I'll move your post to the Discussions board while we await your information.

Thanks,

Kevin

I have had the same issue, I have not used my C100 in a long time.  I had to convert the AVCHD file in Media Encoder before importing into premiere.
