Cannot move open captions on X axis

Hey everyone,

So I'm working on a work project and for some reason the open captions dialog box will not let me adjust the X-axis for my captions. When I use the positioning box they move but I just need to do some slight repositioning and it simply will not allow me to either enter a value or drag to where I need to position the caption. I've tried resetting my workspace and restarting the program but nothing seems to work. Is there just something I'm missing?

Hello - I find that it's easier to reposition the captions using the effects controls (by adjusting the x/y coordinates and scale). I usually make these effects controls adjustments after I create the captioning layer in my timeline.  Hope this helps!

Bump, same question.

Premiere Gal, local legend. Adjusting the effect control x-axis changes the whole set of captions. I guess you could just isolate this one, but that's cumbersome, there appears to be a solution but we can't seem to use it.
