Hello all. I have searched and tried various things I have found in relation to this issue. I am using Premiere Pro V24.03. I have files recorded on the DJI Drone which are H265 10Bit 50Fpm MP4 Files. Premiere does not even see these files in the import folder.
I have installed the Microsoft Codec and I can play these files on Media Player.
I even tried converting the file with Media Encoder however, Premiere will not recognise the file at all.
Am I missing somthing??
Any advise would be appreciated.
Tony,.

I'm interested because I shoot with a Mini 3 Pro. Could you share a file so I could try it with my computer and Premiere Pro? Thanks.

I have uploaded it to my Google drive as the file is about 3GB. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1esYjSNPYnq2chGKhYzSqK9ozEahK8-ZR/view?usp=sharing I am in Austrlia so the file is 50p rather than 60. I also have it in log as I wanted to try the luts on the video as well. Would be interested in knowing if you have any luck. Regards.,

Sunday morning here in Washington State, USA. I just got up. The file downloaded and played in VLC. I will work on it more this morning and see what works or not.

Thanks for posting your video, but this might make it harder to figure out because it works fine! I had no issues at all. Your file loaded quickly into Premiere Pro. I don't have any DJI luts so I had some fun trying some manual color adjustments on the log file. Even "auto" color worked but it needed some tweeks. Export seemed a little slow compared to other files. That might be because of the added color correction work.
I too am on V24.03. Nothing special about my computer. It is a 2 year old $1000 USD Lenevo Legion laptop "gamer". It has an i7, 16GB of RAM, an NVIDIA GPU and an SSD. It has the 99 cent H.265 codec installed from Microsoft when it was new.
I tried it in Premiere Elements 2024 too. It worked but needed a "preview render".
Now we try to search for the "needle in the haystack" that is keeping your's from working.

OH, thats really strange. Its on an SSD V2 storage so its fast. I edit 8k on this machine. However I have tried importing into two of my machines one with the latest Premiere and the other with the previous version... Neither even see the file, it does not come up at all as if the directory is empty. I am at a loss. I will need to imvestigate further. I know I can load it and play it in VCL and even Microsoft Media player?, so I am really confused.

This might be an issue with your storage media. Where is the file being stored?
I'm able to import and play the clip as expected in Premiere Pro 23.6 and 24.0.3 under macOS Ventura 13.4.1 and Windows 11 64-bit (Apple M1 Max and Intel i7-10750H).

Latest Update. I uninstalled and reinstalled media encoder and premiere through Creative Cloud and I can now see and import the video?? Obviously some codec didn't load initially?? Not sure but it seems to be working now. I will look at the exposure next as with the lut linked to, I find the footage is over exposed.

The footage looked a little deasurated, but clicking Auto Correct in Lumitri made it look very good on my end (both on a 16-inch MacBook Pro and 15-inch Omen laptop).

I'll give that a go. I plan to shoot some more footage later today. Just trial stuff So I will play around with the imports, corrections and Luts. Thank you to everyone for your assistance.
