Premiere Pro v15.4 Build 47 (not beta)
Yesterday I was captioning three separate videos using the subtitle format in order to create open-captioned content. I used transcribe to create the captions and then applied a saved .prtextstyle. As I was going through the individual captions to make changes, I discovered that changes that I previously made had reverted back to the previous state. In one video, the content had a lot of proper names and so required capitalization of each word. After completing one section I reviewed back from the beginning of the sequence and discovered none of my changes were retained. I then had to spend time trying to diagnose the issue so I could finish the project with the deadline the same day. I tried to use the ENTER key and that only created a third row in the caption field. I narrowed my testing process down to two caption fields and after capitalizing a word in one and the going to the next caption and changing that one and then clicking on the sequence timeline, I could see the first caption revert back autoatically as if the Adobe Sensei was autocorrecting. In order to meet my deadline, I discovered that if I saved and then completely closed out of the PrPro project and repoened the project after every caption changed, the changes would be saved. This obviously was a very time consuming workflow but allowed me to complete all three videos by deadline. I looked for an Sensei AI "autocorrection" feature to turn off and or on manually and could not find any feature that could be causing this action to occur. Each change didn't revert back to the previous state instantly so I was unable to discern if the amount of time before the "autocorrecting" happening was consistent or random. So was PrPro "correcting" my captions for me by some automated AI process after each manual change or was the program just not saving my changes? I understand Sensei is automating several other operations in PrPro so is Sensei performing any ongoing machine learning processes after the initial transcript is created?

This is a glitch, Sensei shouldn't be dynamically 'fixing' your captions.
Can you post a screen recording of exactly what you are doing so we can see it occuring? I can't replicate on my side but there could be a very specific order of events which causes the behaviour.

I experience something similar this past friday for a project. I'm copy and pasting translations into a caption track, click to move the timeline to next caption track and as the caption selection auto scrolls forward, the previous caption reverts to what it was before any changes were made. I'm fully updated on premiere as well.

Hi Rec6295,
Sorry for your issue.
Instead of editing the caption from the Text panel, please try to edit the caption from the Program monitor & check if it's working properly.
Let us know how it goes.
Thanks,
Nishu

I have the same issue. I need to close down and then I can change a few boxes in the transcript and then I need to shut down premier pro and open it again. I want to change it in the transcript since 50% of all words and sentances are wrong. I speak in swedish. I have tried changing the captions but it felt more time consuming to edit them compared to the transcript but I will see how I move forward. Please help
