Captioning a Sequence with set In and Out Points

Community Beginner ,

One of our producers just captioned his sequence.  He had an In point set at timecode 0:03:53 (start of video was at the In point).  His Out point was at the end of his project.  He captioned it and sent engineering the video and sidecar caption files.

When it was tested, the captions did not show up until 3 minutes and 53 seconds into the video.  Is there a setting in Premiere where the caption timecode can start at 0:00:00 even when an In point further in the timeline is set?

Also some of our producers edit multiple videos in a timeline with In and Out Points.  Can multiple files be captioned at a time?

Thanks

Hi Richard,

I'm sorry to hear you're experiencing this issue. The only solution I can think of in Premiere Pro is to import the sidecar file and readjust the timecode in the Timeline. I see some online websites that claim to offset caption timecode by a specified duration for you, but I haven't tried them. Maybe that could help?

Thanks,

Ishan
