Captions menu disappeared

Hi everyone! Im adding captions but I only see very few options to edit. I can only change the backgroundcolor and the fontcolor, but there is no menu for choosing a font, fontsize, line spacing etc... How do I make a toolbar appear that gives me these options as well? (left below in the pic you see what I see:))

Also when I try to change the background it wont pick transparant (even though its listed), but only colors...

Thanks so much!

Im a premiere newby

Hi! Thank you! But if I use open captions it doesnt work, cause when I type my text it doesnt show up. It only shows 'please type here'. No matter if I then type, the text doesnt appear in my clip....

Thank you!

Hi annamagdalenaa,

Sorry for the delay in response. Have you tried it in a new project?

Please share us the workflow you are following with a screenshot of Premiere Pro workspace after importing the open caption into sequence. FAQ: How do I capture and post a screen shot or video?

Thanks,

Vidya.

I, too, cannot figure out how to add text to a "New Text Layer" in Essential Graphics for an on-screen open caption/titling. I've used Premiere for two decades, and the worst experience I've had is the impossible learning curve for ESSENTIAL GRAPHICS. I just want to add titles showing the spoken words.
