while capturing simple DV quality video (720 x 480) via a firewire capture card, my capture stops at exactly 4 minutes and 26 seconds and/or 987.772 mb and I get an error message "Connection lost to server" It does this regardless of whether the firewire cable is connected directly to the camera firewire port, or through an external converter box (that converts analog signals from cables into firewire).
- Premiere pro vs 23, Windows 10, 111 GB of available capture space on an internal C drive.
- I've been using this exact system, capturing up to 3 hours at a time without even so much as a dropped frame for months now. This just started a few days ago and I can't recall what I changed on the system that would cause this other than any automatic Creative Cloud updates that would take effect every time I start Premiere.
- I've already tried updating my legacy driver, removing any other potential capture devices on my computer (only had a logitech screen capture program for use with a webcam) and disabling anything else on startup (the only thing I had running in startup was TrendMicro virus software) but these changes had zero effect on resolving this.
Here's video of the phenomenon:

Yes, I can capture to an external drive plugged in via USB without it stopping.

I don't know. I guess you may need to use that workaround.
