Hi Jim,

Thanks for the suggestion. Did not work. I went through the whole conforming files process. No luck. If i try to link the video file, while I'm looking at the locate box, one video will have a picon and the one next to it not( same format, same camera). If I try to replace video, the whole thing freezes up???

I have the file backed up in 3 different drives. I've tried importing 1 video file at a time. No luck. What's odd is the video file next to it works??? (same .mts, same camera). All of these video files work in P.P. CC

I'm experiencing the same issue with Premiere Pro CC 2014, "The file has an unsupported compression type." when trying to load *.mts files (Canon G30, HF11) on a Windows 7 64-Bit desktop PC.  Video files from a Canon G30 and HF11 loaded fine in Premiere Pro CC, but will no longer load in Premiere Pro CC 2014.  Same *.mts files load up fine in the Mac version of Premiere Pro CC 2014 on my laptop.

Adobe, please resolve this issue.

I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling Premiere.  Updating Quicktime.  Any other troubleshooting tips?  Any way I can install the older version Premiere Pro CC?

Had the same problem with MOV files for the last 3/4 hours. Just updated and it was saying to me footage was "unsupported". After several restarts and un-installing and re-installing it then started show the clips but random clips were still showing as "unsupported" (yet the same file format as others that were loading okay). Skip forward a few more restarts/re-installs and finally it loads... Now I'm trying to render out and even though everything in the timeline is fine I'm getting red "media offline" clips and crashes. Can't reach support and tomorrow I must explain to a client why a proof for their £100,000 commercial is late. So pissed with Adobe right now. I'm all up for regular updates but their beta testing stinks. Good luck anyway - I'll keep an eye and ear out for a solution

This is not working for me either. just re installing premiere pro cc 2014 again.

Fortunately i can still work in the old one for now, which is lucky as i need to finish a video for a client!

i hope this starts working soon i would like to be able to use the new features in 2014 ....

Are you guys importing using the 'Media Browser' tab?  Are you importing using File>Import?  Or are you drag-and-dropping from the desktop?

I have the best luck with Media Browser.  The other methods can be problematic with certain files IME.

I have the same issue. Doesn't matter if I use Media Browser or not. In my case it's a project I created with CC and now tried to open in CC 2014. There all files are offline. If I try to reconnect I get the message "The file has an unsupported compression type." Same if I try to import the files again. With Premiere CC it still works fine.

Second version of the problem: I created a new project within Premiere CC 2014. I imported the MTS files (AVCHD from Canon XA10). It's strange but here I had no problem. I edited everything and everything was fine. But export was not possible. Media Encoder just rendered a "Media offline" picture instead of the video.

I'm working on Win7, 64bit, Nvidia Quadro K2000M.

Please give a solution to that problem Adobe. People are paying you a lot of money every month and so expect a less buggy update. It's not a beta.

I  also tried to import a project from Premiere CC. It did the project conversion and showed it could not locate most  of the .mts files., and few MP4 files. The workaround , for me, was to locate the folder with the .mts files and do a "watch folder" conversion in Media Encoder (to H264). Then replace the files in the project with "Replace " in Premiere. What's also interesting is that for a period of time the "Relink" function worked with the same .mts file, than it stopped working.  Yes, there are plenty of bugs, this was just my needed work around.

I have had no issues at all importing MTS files from my Canon C100 with the new version on my Macbook Pro.  I have noticed that you MUST keep the original directory structure from the card intact for it to work properly.  Otherwise, you can rewrap the files using ClipWrap2.0.  Not sure why it would've worked for you in the old CC but not 2014.

Sorry  Guys I'm having the same problem. After hours with Adobe Support, online and on phone, Its a BUG! In the Windows' Premiere 2014, so we have to wait for an update to fix it. For me It only happens on Panasonic MTS files. AG AF100 / LUMIX, In Mac Works Fine.

No problem here I just downloaded your file and opened a new project, imported the file and created a sequence dropping it on the timeline and it played beautifully except for the airplane noise.

I'm out on office on vacation but I've asked a few colleague to keep the investigation going. The files you provided imported fine into Premiere for me. Can you please try this workaround posted on another thread which seemed to resolve this issue for other users:

"Try renaming or moving the folder with the media.  Then open the project in CC 2014.  It will ask you where the media is, point it to the renamed or moved folder."

I have found a few workarounds that work but really? Workarounds in premiere? I don't need to spend more time on my projects.

I'm also having problems with some mpg4 files that require running them through media encoder so they don't show green on the timeline.

Did you clean out cache and/or renamed folder the file resides in.

It almost seems that its a bug within Adobe Premiere v8.0.1 as I have another test machine running Adobe Premiere v8.1 and it is able to handle the MTS files fine. Any readme files that shows what Adobe Premiere v8.1 resolves in older versions?
