CC 2018 12.1.2 Download/Update from 12.0

New Here ,
Feb 13, 2022 Feb 13, 2022

My desktop computer runs Windows 7 and therefore I am limited to using Adobe Premiere Pro 12.1.2 because it's the latest version to support Windows 7. I have now a new laptop computer which runs Windows 10 and I would like to be able to go back and forth between the computers working on the same projects. I have searched the internet and my files to no avail for a 12.1.2 installer. I found a 12.0 installer and ran that on my laptop which worked fine, but my files won't work back and forth since 12.1.2 is a newer version. I know how to get new files to open in old versions but I would rather not do that every time I want to switch computers. I thought I could upgrade to the latest sub-version in Creative Cloud upon intsalling 12.0, but my only option is to update to 22.2, the latest version. I tried running Creative Cloud in compatability mode and editing the Windows registry to try and trick adobe into thinking my laptop is on Windows 7 and not 10 but neither worked. Is there anything else I could do? Does someone out there still have a copy of the 12.1.2 installer they'd be willing to share with me?

Redwood,

Sorry about your issues with the versions of Premiere Pro that are not available anymore.

Is it possible to update this computer's OS to Windows 10?

That's not possible unless both computers are running Windows 10. It may be time for that update to the current OS if at all possible.

Please do not install non-genuine software "from the internet." Use only the Creative Cloud application to download software.

Sorry, this is non-genuine software and we do not support it any longer.

Sorry about that. This situation used to be that you could download legacy versions, but no longer because of legal reasons (that are beyond our control now).

Not really. You need to modernize your desktop computer to a supported OS in system requirements. Then, you could do what you want as many others do. Share projects between computers. I could definitely help you then.

Please don't install non-genuine software or share installers with other users. It is against our policies. I know a lot of people really hate Windows 10 and prefer Windows 7, but it's 2022. Are you really bound to it? Is it at all possible to get your computer updated? That would solve a lot of issues, but I do understand if you simply cannot update your OS for one reason or another. I do hope we can help you somehow.

Thanks,
Kevin
