Changing the size of motion graphic text in Adobe Premiere Pro?

I recently downloaded a Premiere Pro project that someone uploaded on to the internet.

Upon opening the project, I noticed that there is no text on the timeline, and no keyframes for text anywhere in the project, but there are boxes under Essential Graphics -> Edit where you can input text for the project and options to change text color under each text box.

There are .mogrt files in one of the folders that was in the zip file I downloaded so I am assuming that all the project text was added as motion graphics.

My problem is that I cannot find any way to change the size of some of the text in the project (if you look at the attached print screen, you'll see some text which is supposed to say A BEAUTIFUL DAY IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD but is cut off at the TH in THE).

How do you change text size for motion graphic text or whatever this is that was added to the project?

When a mogrt is created, the motion graphic artist determines what functionality the end user (you) gets to change. Font size controls can be included in a mogrt settings but in this case likely have not.

A possible (messy) workaround: duplicate the mogrt in your sequence. Use the crop tool to crop out everything except the text line. Move this line of text down below the existing line. Type 'A beautiful day in' on the original mogrt and 'the neighbourhood' in the duplicate mogrt. Hard to know if this will work without seeing what animation is built into the mogrt.

Thank you for thr help.

After some research on Google, I found a method for editing mogrt files that I wanted to pass along in case you wanted it for any reason.

I was hoping that there might be an easier method which is why I posted on the Adobe Forums website but I guess this will have to do.

1. Duplicate the mogrt file.

2. Change the extension on the duplicated file to .zip

3. Open the zip file and extract that aegraphic file.

4. Change the extension on the aegraphic file to .zip

5. Open the aegraphic zip and extract the aep file.

6. Open the aep file in Adobe After Effects.

7. If not already open, open the the Essentail Graphics panel.

8. Find the text layer that you want to edit and edit it.

9. Click "Export Motion Graphics Template" at the bottom of the Essential Graphics panel to save your mogrt.

10. Import into Premiere Pro.
