I've done everything. All of the normal stuff. Reset preferences, clean cache etc. Reinstalled from the Cloud. Uninstalled thrid party plugins. yadda yadda yadda ......I'm in a 2019 MacPro on the latest version
of PP and on Monterrey OS.
3.3 GHz 12-Core Intel Xeon W
48 GB 2933 MHz DDR4
AMD Radeon Pro W5700X 16 GB
Thunderbay external for media and cache.
Lately, when I click and drag anything on UI, it takes a good 2 seconds before Premiere reacts to my selection. For example, I put 4 keyframes on audio track and drag the middle 2 down, it takes like 4 seconds to react to dragging.
This was so frustrating a couple of weeks ago, I attempted to switch to Final Cut but I just can't do that. Premiere is what I know. Can anyone help with other than saying to do the normal maintenance stuff?

Try creating a new project and import the old one into it.

I'll give that a try but it seems to be happening on every project lately. Thanks anyway

Uso el software Clean My Mac, pero hace tiempo que no reparo el permiso. Lo intentaré también.

I know you said that you've done a lot of the normal stuff but I didn't see it listed. Have you tried a different Premiere version? Even just for testing you should be able to go back to 15.4.1 to see if that behaves any differently.

yeah I tried old versions to no avail unfortunately... I did just update the os since this post, repair the permissions and it seems to be better

I saw that repairing permissions helped. Did it return the UI to its expected snappiness?
If not, try temporarily switching to software only for the Mercury playback engine.
Also try temporarily creating a workspace on just your main monitor and then temporarily disconnecting your other 2 monitors.
If either or both of those things return the UI performance to normal, it may be that the Radeon graphics can't handle your setup. That would be surprising. Are the resolutions and refresh rates of the monitors matched?
Reference data point: I have a 5500M in my MacBook Pro and it handles 2 monitors (built-in Retina and an external 4K) flawlessly.

my main monitor's refresh rate was set to variable... I've set it to match with the others and I'll let you know how it goes... thanks
