I honestly have no idea what in the world is causing this problem, but it's very frustrating. I'll add a clip to my timeline and the audio will be fine for the first minute or so, and then it will just drop. No audio at all. The video will continue to play completely silent. You can even see the audio disappearing on my timeline. I've shared an image below of what I mean. As you can see, not all clips are affected. Only some clips, and it seems totally random. I've deleted the clips, re-downloaded them from the source and tried again, only to have the clips exhibit the exact same behavior (only the audio will stop 10 seconds later or something). And yes, the clip will play normally in any media player with audio playing the entire way through.
I don't know what setting I could have accidentally checked that is causing this, but it's driving me insane. It's probably some easy fix and I'm just missing it, but any help is appreciated.

You may need to convert those files to constant frame rate with HandBrake before importing to Premiere Pro.

It may take a few minutes for the audio to "conform" when loaded into Premiere. Has the audio conformed?

No, I've been working with the same files since I made the post a few hours ago, and still the clip's audio is missing. I have never had the issue before either. Is there some way to expedite this conforming process? Or could I have accidentally turned off this conforming process?

I don't know for sure, but I believe conformation is automatic once files are loaded onto Premiere. Clean the Media Cache Database. If you still have problems, you will need to provide information about your computer, version of Premiere Pro and the type of media files you are using.

I agree that it looks like you may have started playing timeline/editing before conform was completed. Usually not a problem, but sometimes things go sideways. Try cvid101 suggestions. When importing new clips, you will see the "Conforming..." message at lower right, best to let that complete before doing anything else.
What is the original source of the clips? For clips coming from camcorder, best practice is to copy entire contents of SD card to new folder on hard drive, then import into Premiere via Media Browser. This works wonders, fixes a lot of issues, as for many formats Premiere needs the metadata that was part of the original recording. Users like to pick and choose clips from a card, maybe rename them, but perhaps those clips do not behave so well for editing.

Okay, I will try to clear the cache as soon as I get home from work. If it still is giving me issues, I'll let you know. Thanks for the responses.
Also, the original source of the clips is pulled from a Playstation 4, I'm running an up-to-date version of Premiere CC on a Windows 10 Machine (plenty of Hard Drive space, 16 GB of RAM, mostly built for gaming, I can get back to you with the specifics later if it comes to that).

Clips pulled from PS4 how? A lot of game capture hardware/software is now using Variable Frame Rate recording, which Premiere does not play well with
Thanks

I pulled the clips from my PS4 by using the "Share" feature to save small 3-minute clips, then download them to a USB. I hadn't thought that the frame rate could be the issue either. If clearing the cache doesn't work, I'll try converting them to a constant frame rate as well. Thanks for the idea.

Sorry for the late reply, but thank you for all the helpful suggestions! While cleaning the media cache database did not resolve the problem, after converting the files to a constant frame rate through HandBrake my clips audio was restored!
Thanks again.
