I am color correcting an 80 minute movie scene-to-scene which was produced from a 4K scan of a 35mm color interpositive. The file format is Quicktime Apple Pro Res HQ. I went through the whole movie start to finish making cuts in just about every scene and made my corrections. When done, I went back to the beginning to check my work again, however it's like Premier didn't save the color corrections i did, and almost every one of them is jacked up and will need to be corrected again. This project has taken many hours to complete and it is very frustrating to have to start all over again! Has anyone had this problem, and more important, can anyone HELP! Though I don't consider myself to be a Pro, I have used PP for many years and never had an issue like this.
Thanks,
Bobby B

That does sound frustrating!
When you select a clip, do you see the Lumetri Color effect listed in the Effect Controls panel? If so, are your adjustments still showing there?
When you mention that everything looks "jacked up," it could be due to a LUT being applied to the clip or a change in the color space. You can check this by going to the Lumetri Color panel and clicking the Settings tab to see what's applied.
Also, double-check whether the Global FX Mute button is enabled in your Program Monitor. If it's turned on, it will hide all effects—including color corrections—until disabled.

Hello Paul,
Thanks for the reply! First, yes, I see the Lumetri Color effect listed in the Effect Controls panel after making a correction. FYI, I have not applied any LUTs at all. I didn't know about the Global FX Mute button thingy but will give that a try. Also, when I say, "jacked up," I mean the color correction that I had applied is gone and the colors are all out speck/balance. One colleague suggested that after making a series of correction or at the end of a session; that I export that section out to mixdown all the corrections. That might work but is it necessary. My thinking is that I'm doing something wrong which is causing the problem.
I really appreciate your help!
Bobby

What color management options have you set up?

Hi Neil, thank you for your response. Though I've been working for several years on Premiere Pro, I haven't had to do much scene to scene color correction, so I admit I'm kind of a newbie. So, I'm not sure what color management options are or how to set them up. I've watched a lot of tutorials on color correction but none have covered the topic you bring up. If you can point me in the right directions I will be forever in your debt!

Color management is nowadays required thing, so ... you get to learn about bit.
All Premiere's CM settings from projects through clips to sequences are found in Lumetri panel Settings tab, the tab named Settings.
Post what is shown there.

Hi again, Paul, I did find how to get to the Global FX Mute option and it was turned off. Any other suggestions?

So it looks to be the basic Rec.709 CM. I think ... but several major sections are closed.
After you do your corrections, you do save the project, right?

Yes, Rec 709. I had a heck of a time trying to upload that image of the settings, so you could not see everything. I can try uploading smaller sections if necessary. Let me know if you want me to do that. Yes, I save the project several times during each session and also at the end.

I'm not seeing anything that would be a problem ... do other changes save correctly? Is it only color changes not saving?

The only thing I'm doing to this project is color corrections. Some of the later corrections have saved properly, it is mostly the ones done at the beginning of the timeline which didn't save.

That's just ... so odd. I'm totally puzzled about it also.

In the earlier clips where the changes did not save, do they have the Lumetri effect on them in the Effect Controls and do these effects have any adjustments on them?
