The new update has problems with colour labels, duplicate frame markers also not fixed also just noticed it has bugs with the audio waveform display. All stereo waveforms are displaying as as mono!!! Am I missing a new setting here. Highly frustrating!!!

Can someone help or explain?

@BUDAH,

I assume you are now on version 24.4.0? I don't have it yet.

There are a couple of staff posts in this thread for the color issue. And there are multiple profiles, and the option to save a preset from, for example 24.3, and use it. I don't know if that fully resolves the issue. I can see the issue in the latest Betas.

The duplicate frame marker issues appear fixed for some users. My latest post in this thread points to possible issues:

I do not see the wave-form issue in the latest Beta, so let's see what someone else says with 24.4 installed.

Hi Kevin,

Yep all aorted and happy 🙂

Thanks for the swift response. Loving the new premier update, fast, smooth and swift.....slowly getting used to it. I can see the logic behind the tweaks.

Thank you for the quick response....re waveforms....all I had to do was expand the timeline.....I'm happy with that 🙂

Re...colour labels....I still think it's a bug because the colours arne't as they say and are not accurate....almost all the same colour. Check attched. Yellow is clearly brown etc....

Also regarding duplicate frame markers....it's been an issue since the last version. It current'y doesnt work at all on video files. We've had a couple of clients come back to my jnrs complaining about multiple use of shots. Jnrs cleary rely on these features to avoid this issue. Duplicate frame markers are only on audio files not video and you need to close and re-open the timeline to trigger it. Check attached.

@BUDAH jus one more comment for you and its that in the next release you will see some of the color bugs resolved in the "brown spectrum" and your swtaches and color should look like the image below. again thank you so much for feedback, it is really appreciate it!

Hi Budah! thank you for your post. In 24.4 we released a new color scheme in Premiere Pro. You still have the 16 default colors, but they are now higher contrast that work better for darker UI's and editing environments. The new colors still correspond to the old ones as you can see in the picture below. As for the stereo waveforms displaying as mono, its is not a bug. We introduced audio waveform layering, a feature that we have in Audition as well. When a track is less than 24 pixels, we layer the waveforms ( left and right) into one visual waveform, so that at small track heights you can still visualize all the channels at a higer resolution. In older Premiere Pro versions we would just make the waveforms smaller and the resolution will end up with just a couple of pixels. When you have a left and right channel that are almost identical the layering will be less prominent.

Here is an example of the waveform layering:
