Conforming is taking way too long, any way to reduce its time?

Is there any way to reduce the conforming time? not only it takes a really long time but premiere also does it very frequently with the same projects.

Will checking the option: "Do not delete cache files automatically" make the conforming process not repeat itself?

Some people say it has to do with the disk speed, is it possible that if I change the folder of my videos to a 2TB removable drive instead of my D: folder it will make the conforming process go faster?

You want those on a fast internal drive with fast connections. SSD better than spinning disc, that sort of thing.

Conforming occurs when using compressed media. If you can avoid compressed media or transcode to an uncompressed intermediate, you will avoid conforming. You should only have to conform once, if it's doing it again and again, you may have a permission issue/write access issue where the conformed files are being written.

I recommend having a dedicated drive for Cache and Scratch files.  It doesn't need to be excessively large, so an SSD would be a good choice here.
