CREATING A NEW GRAPHICS IN PREMIERE PRO

New Here ,
Feb 23, 2024 Feb 23, 2024

Hello,
I can't create a layer with graphics at all in premiere pro, I have been working on this software for a long time and this is the first time such a thing happens to me. I can't even create a text layer, it just doesn't display on the timeline.  Nothing but mp4 and mp3 files are displayed on the timeline. Even adjustment laye and dragging to timeline after sort of disappears. When I click replace with after effects composition, everything works fine in AE composition. Thank you in advance for any advice and reply.

What is the method you are using to create a text layer. Here are some choices:
(1) With the Type tool active, click into the Program Monitor
(2) With the Type tool active, click and drag in the Program Monitor
(3) Graphics & Titles > New Layer > Text (or Cmd/Ctrl + T)
(4) Essential graphics Panel > Edit tab... Click the New Layer button and choose Text

Are all of those methods failing for you? Also try creating a new Black Video clip (the same way you would make an Adjustment Layer) and add that to the Timeline... does that work?
