Hi,
I use a Wacom Intuos Pro and Premiere v13.1 on a Mac and I have the following problem since about a year (so with all the previous Premiere versions as well).
When I navigate with my pen the cursor very often "gets stuck" - when I click on something and move away it keeps thinking that I am pressing down. It happens during anything - navigating between different timelines, doing colour correction etc. It is really annoying so sometimes I have to switch to the mouse which does not have this problem. I have this tablet for two years and the clicking works perfectly fine with all the other software including other Adobe Products like Lightroom and Photoshop, but Premiere is almost impossible to use.
How can I fix it?
Thank you!
Hey Matt,
Is it the same problem on the Beta? Let me know. If so, PM me to remind me to contact Premiere Pro's hardware representative who checks this stuff out for the team. Hope to connect you.
Cheers,
Kevin

Hi Kevin - just checking if there's been any progress on this?
Thank you
Matt

I started experiencing this ever since I switch from Windows to Mac. So annoying. I's clearly been going on for years, so it's confusing as to why it hasn't been fixed.

After updating to the latest version I've yet to see any of the stickiness. Not going to hold my breath. wink, wink

I have had this problem with a Logitech mouse on Premiere on a Mac Studio running Sonoma. Current Adoe Premeire build is 25.3 but it's been happening for about 2 years now. It's been bad enough lately for me to start looking into it.
I will select a sequence, and the software becomes unaware when I release the mouse. So it then drags the timeline window - undocking that sequence as if I had intended to drag the timeline window instead of just select it. Happens very frequently

Hey Benjamin,
Sorry about the cursor sticking. Is there anything you've already tried to fix it? Are you using a tablet, a mouse, or a trackpad? Mac or PC?
Happy to help if you have some more info.

I am using a magic mouse on a Mac. This sticking problem only happens in Premiere, and only when I'm switching back and forth between sequences. For example, I will be in one seqeunces, click on another sequence tab, and that tab will stick to the mouse, dragging that sequence window to whatever random place my mouse drifsts to.
This is the only time this happens on Premiere, or on my computer in general.

That's exactly what happens to me, too. Except I'm not using a Magic Mouse, just a corded Razor mouse. Computer is M3 Max 16". Always running the latest version of MacOS and premiere. And it doesn't happen consistently either. Sometimes it seems to happen every time I switch between sequences, other times I won't notice it. But it's only when switching between sequence tab. Incredibly annoying as it messes up my workspace each time and risks clicking on things / selecting things / doing actions I didn't intend.

Thanks for the details! Couple of workspace-related troubleshooting steps we can take.
1. Use the toolbar at the top to go to Window>Workspaces>Reset to Saved Layout.
2. Try using one of the default workspaces that Premiere comes with. Let us know if that helps.
3. Try one of the other versions of Premiere! Did this just start happening in the latest version?
If you have a screen recording of this happening, I can file a fresh bug report and get our product team to look at it.
Happy to help however we can,
Caroline
