Cut & Paste does not work in the Captions panel

Cut & Paste does not work in the Captions panel:

1. Highlight some text in a caption in the Captions panel.

2. Ctrl-x to cut it (don't copy it). The text disappears, as expected.

3. Click in another text caption in the Captions panel.

4. Hit ctrl-v to paste it.

Nothing happens.

It seems "cut" performs the same task as "delete". The workaround is to copy the text, then delete it, then paste it elsewhere.

I tried selecting some caption text in the Program Monitor and cutting it, then pasting it somewhere else, and it worked as expected. And now I can no longer replicate the buggy behaviour at all - now when I cut/paste in the Captions panel, it works perfectly! I'm on PPro release 25.1.0 Build 73.

@hellopaul4,

I'm not seeing this in PR 25.1.0.

To select the text, I enter edit mode. I assume this is what you are doing, and then enter edit mode to paste in the other caption.

But for me, the cut text gets inserted as expected.

I looked, and even if Ctrl-x or Ctrl-c is assigned a second function the keyboard shortcuts I don't know what would do this.

Hi @hellopaul4 -  Thanks for submitting your bug report. We need a few more details to try to help with the issue.
Please see, How do I write a bug report?

Have you tried double clicking the caption to enter edit mode and then cut > paste?
Sorry for the frustration.
