Default Transition not using Default Duration.

New Here ,
Aug 06, 2017 Aug 06, 2017

Oh folks forgive my ignorance but I need some help.

My editing needs are pretty basic - but I do try to get everything I do often down to keystrokes.

For some reason now though - when I hit the hot key to apply the default video transition, it is NOT using the default transition timing as set in the preferences.

it used to... or at least I never had to go into each transition to set the duration.

I didn't change anything knowingly - although I did go in and delete some old project files.

(I have since then double checked the preferences and hot keys, and default transitions)

Any ideas on what I should look for?

Thanks!

FYI:

I'm running windows home 7 ... I know... don't judge me.

At what default time is it set and what is the framerate of your sequence.

The sequence settings (and the imported video) are 30 fps.

I'm trying to get a transition of 00:06 seconds - but only because that's what I was successfully using before.

it seems to be putting the transition in with a duration of 00:002
