Delete Media Cache - Does this work for older uninstalled versions??

New Here ,
Jul 28, 2021 Jul 28, 2021

Hello, I've recently uninstalled an older version of Premiere Pro and just learned how to delete media cache with the latest version... However, I realize that I never performed this process with the older versions before the uninstall.

Are there still media cache files left if the older app has been deleted?

Does this process remove all media cache files regardless of version of app?

If not, how would i find and delete those?

Thank you!

It's probably not a bad idea to go in and look to see if you can find those files. If you keep your media cache in the default directory, just follow that path (which you can find when looking in a newer version) and see if you still have anything left over from the old version.

By default I think it's in C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Common

That was the path for PC. On mac I think it'd be in the Library folder.

Users/username/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Common/

Something like that.
