Drop Images and Videos into Frames in Premiere Pro

Hello, I wanted to know if anyone knows where I can look to add rectangle or circular frames into my workspace so I can drop in images and videos. For example, in Photoshop there's the circle and rectangle frame tool where you can drop in photos into the frame and you can adjust the photo within the frame. Does Premiere Pro have the same feature as in Photoshop?

Check the Essential Graphics Panel. You can create shapes in that, set thickness of border, shadows, strokes, place on a higher track. Leave the center unfilled and the lower track image will show through.

Well, I know about that feature, but I'm speaking regarding shape frames and inserting images and videos into the frames, not related to the Essential Graphics Panel.

In the Effect Controls panel you can apply a mask to the opacity of the video.

Yes, I'm aware of this feature. However, I speaking specifically about dragging and dropping an image or video inside a circle, rectangle, or shape frame similar to how it's done in Photoshop.

In video, one tends to use multiple tracks for that work. Think using tracks, like using the layers in Photoshop.

How would you place an image or video inside a shape frame that's on a new track? That's still doesn't solve the issue, unfortunately.

Either use the EGP > mask with shape

Or make a shape and use track matte.

Place the mask ... here using EGP or the Track Matte effect that Ann mentions, on V2. Leave the opening ... and put the thing to show through on V1. Basic editing process.

And yea, there are major differences between stills and video work. I came into video a decade ago from a long pro stills career, including having our own full wetlab for years through early adoption of Photoshop and scanners ... then digital cameras. And thought that video would be similar.

Well ... there's things that are analagous, perhaps ... but it ain't the same. And really, can't be as you learn more about it.
