ive recently noticed when using the dynamics limiter or hard limiter it doesnt do anything anymore. it worked a couple weeks ago but now doesnt. I usually have my voice limited to-9.40, but it still goes way past -3 and peaks. i have made sure the limiter is enabled. Ive released 2 projects with this setting not working before i noticed which is frustrating.
i started using the dynamics limiter as the hard limiter option stopped working for me many years ago.
has anyone else had this issue or know how to fix it?
Seems like when files are imported into a timeline they are boosting. I record so i dont peak over -6 and listening in the assembly section the file gain is as recorded but then when played in the timeline it's clipping past zero.
Looks like tonnes of us are having this issue, surely Adobe should be on top of this by now. Threads on this issue go back 5 years. No wonder everyone is jumping to DaVinci.
as far as i know there has been no fix with the hard limiter or dynamics limiter, i just stopped using the in software limiters entirely and tweak the volume using the match volume setting in the essental audio tab. then i adjust the volume of everything by Highlighting audio clips and pressing G. i then have to scroll through the whole video and make sure some clips arent to loud or quiet cause it does weird things to short or too quiet clips. which is exhausting but it actually works in the end .
lets hope adobe fixes this as its very annoying. currently my software is freezing like every 5 mins tho so even if it did work it wouldnt be that helpful for me anyway.
