Dynamics (obsolete)?! whats is its replacement

Guest

Hi,

I got a question since updating Adobe Premier Pro to cc 2017 I notice that the audio effect "Dynamics" that I always have been using seems to be in the obsolete category now. Has Adobe created a replacement for it?

Because I really need the Limiter that comes with Dynamics because I don't want the audio that I boosted to go over -6db in my adobe premier pro vids. Can someone help me? if anything an alternative way to limit the audio to only go up to a certain decibel?

regards

This is more of a workaround than an actual solution, but you could bounce the audio to Audition, and run a limiter pass there.

Like I said, not a real solution, but a way to keep you moving until you find an alternative.

Hi Derjis,

by bounce you meant editing the audio in audition?

Hey timb40350835,

I got you fam. The best replacement for Dynamics will be Dynamics Processing, once in that window go to Settings and under Gain Processor, set the dB in the Output Gain to whatever your heart desires and it should keep the peak levels at that specific one.

Hope I could help.
