I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask, but...
I want to edit some 360° footage taken with an Insta360 One R, so that the video has a zoomed-out perspective. Someone recommended to use the GoPro FX plugin, which I tried, but not gotten it to work properly.
There are often issues upon exporting the video:
1.) A clear join line where the two cameras meet.
2.) The video doesn't seem to play from the newly changed perspective when exported and viewed in VLC Player.
Admittedly I'm a total beginner with Premiere, so I was wondering if anyone could suggest what I'm doing wrong? Or if this plugin isn't the best method, is there a better way?
Default view straight out of the camera:

Zoomed out perspective that I'd like to achieve:
I'd appreciate any help 🙂

I feel your pain. Did you ever find a solution to this issue? I've been editing GoPro MAX 360 footage on and off for a couple of years, and I've never found a solution for this issue. I usually revert to using the GoPro FX Reframe plug-in to do reframe and overcapture. I've searched high and low for a way to export zoomed-out 360 sequences in Premiere, but I haven't found anything that works like the native players (both the GoPro and Insta360 players can do it during playback). Another oddity is that the rendered videos from Premiere can be zoomed-out with a suitable player like VLC Media Player. Unfortunately, YouTube's 360 player doesn't allow zoom in/out for 360... their zoom only works in flat videos.
Another member, Kuya Quatro , posted a potential workaround for the Premiere zoom problem in this thread: https://community.adobe.com/t5/premiere-pro-discussions/vr-360-zoom-out-fov/td-p/11252757 . I haven't tried that approach, but that scenario is moot if there are voids in the 360 sphere. I'm still searching... 3 years and counting... 🤔 --QuasiMotard
