Hello,
Engaged in some research on workflow for a project, curious to know if anyone participating in this forum has experience editing content on a PC with Mac formatted external drives, using MacDrive in order to read and write with the Mac formatted drives.
Is it possible? If so, does it make the process more cumbersome?
Any thoughts / feedback, super appreciated.
Thanks,
SB

Use exFAT. It's readable/writable natively on both platforms.

Thanks Jim, but I'm working with pre-existing data on previously formatted drives. 20 TB of data on a Mac formatted array that I don't want to have to copy over to other drives if I can help it. (Don't want to have to buy more storage...)
Anyone have any feedback on MacDrive usage for editing Mac formatted drives in a PC environment?
Thanks,
SB

hey Stu
Ever find out the answer to your question?
I was just handed a movie project edited with HD proxies on 16TB of mac formatted drives that require re-linking to 4k files and I'm on a Win 10/Premiere editing pc searching for the answer. Like you, I'd really like to use the original drives as I'll be delivering only the re-linked project back (instead of exporting myself).
Best
Danny
