Effect controls for newly applied effect not showing in Premiere Pro v 2025

Hi all! I have just started learning Premiere Pro.

When I apply a new effect onto a video clip like Radial Wipe, the effect controls for Radial Wipe are not visible. Only Motion, Opacity and Remapping are visible.

I have tried everything. I select the video clip, make sure effect controls is checked under Window. I tried using an older version. But the effect controls for the newly added effect are not showing.

Please help.

Hey Namita,

Welcome to the community! Radial Wipe is a transition effect. Please try dragging it from the Effects panel to the start or the end of the clip or between two clips. Let us know how it goes.

Thanks,

Ishan

I have done that. But Radial Wipe's controls are not showing in the Effect Controls tab. I spent the whole day searching for it. I think it's a simple thing but I'm unable to figure it out. Any help is really appreciated.

Thank you.

Please ensure that the Radial Wipe effect is selected on the timeline (left-click on it). You should then see the effect controls.

Hi Ann,

Thankyou for your reply. The screenshot that you have shown are the controls that are visible to me as well. However, I am talking about the Start Angle, Wipe Center, Wipe, Feather controls under Effect Controls. Please see screenshot attached.

I want to create a split screen effect. For that, I saw in a YouTube video that I need to apply 2 Radial Wipes, one after the other, to a video clip. I am not able to do that either.

Please see the screenshot of Adobe Premiere Pro attached. Under Remapping, the effect controls for Radial Wipe like Wipe Center, Wipe, Feather controls etc are not visible.

Radial Wipe effect (not Radial Wipe transition, which is still present) was an obsolete effect and has been removed.
