Effects panel controls not accessible.

I'm using Premeiere Pro 25.00. When I try to double click on a timeline clip in order to access the effects menu for that clip in the viewer, the effects panel is blank. No scaling or position controls, nothing. I've tried resetting to saved layout, tried clicking again on the timeline clip. Nothing works. Very frustrating.

A few of the clips behave normally, but most don't. I need to be able to scale images and I can't. ugh.

Hi @James_B_M -  Thanks for submitting your bug report. We need a few more details to try to help with the issue.
Please see, How do I write a bug report?

Can you post a screenshot of Premiere Pro with the effect controls open.  It sounds like you are on the source side of the effects for your clip instead of the timeline.
Sorry for the frustration.

Hi Jamie,

Here's a screengrab of the problem. I have double-clicked on the clip you see highlighted on the timeline, but in the effects menu there are no parameters available to do any re-scaling, rotation, etc.  It says "no clip selected" but I have double-clicked on it, so yes, it is selected.

No clip selected.png

The only way I can correct the problem is to go back to the bin, reselct the clip, and insert the shot all over again. Only then can I get the controls back. Very tedious when there are lots of shots to scale.

Hi @James_B_M - That is strange.  Is there a difference between the clips that do work and the ones that don't.  I see you are using proxies. Are you working in a production?  Have you tried holding "Shift" while launching Premiere and selecting the checkbox "Reset App Preferences" sometimes things can get corrupted.
