Encore replacement for Mac Catalina

Community Beginner ,

Can anyone recommend a professional quality DVD menu creator that will replace Encore now that I have upgraded to Mac Catalina?  I've searched for a good alternative but those that I have found are aimed at "home usage".

Thanks!

Just my two bits: Most of the publicly available solutions are mostly prosumer/consumer solutions, unfortunately. I used to use Sonic authorized software with sonic hardware and of course, was very familiar with Encore DVD. As far as the one I've seen used in corporate and consumer workflows--Nero Burning Rom 2019 ($49). I used this a long time ago, but unfortunately, I cannot confirm this myself. I only know what I see my clients using.

I was a HUGE advocate for Adobe and pushed it into the school sysyem that I am also a director at. This may make me change my mind as to what operating system to run. In the wedding world, I can't get away from burning DVDs but u can't wait until I no longer need to.

I understand your frustration, I can't really blame Adobe.  This is an industry wide trend moving away from optical media to streaming and downloads.  Apple doesn't include dvd drives in it's computers any more and they abandoned dvdsp over 10 years ago.  I've still got a boot drive on my macpro that runs el capitan and the entire fcp suite so when I need to author a dvd, I can still use dvdsp.   I've still got Encore on my system and it will still run in Hi Sierra...

- so as long as you have enough computers you can leave one stuck in the past... fair enough.  I'm clinging on to an old Windows laptop with the same intent - which is a bit bonkers really!

Let me ask the question another way - 'cos actually I'm not a fan of DVDs especially as they only deliver low res media.

If you have to deliver a few copies of a performance/event - say between 45 and 120 minutes - and you want to charge online for this service, how would you do it without paying a lot to set it up? I think Vimeo has this feature but only if you pay for their PRO account.

Then of course there's the matter of protection - trying to avoid the situation where you sell one copy - and it gets copied amongst friends...

Somebody must be doing this somewhere in the world....!!

well you've asked the right person, cause I've worked with a number of clients on "monetizing" their media.  Not sure if it's allowed, but if you go to my website: www.michaelgrandier.com and look at the video on demand page, you'll get my take on this situation.  Nothing's perfect and frankly, you can make yourself crazy worrying about piracy when the fact is that it's almost always possible to hack any protections.    Happy to answer any specific questions.
