Hey! I hope someone can help me as I am having issue with exporting. Iv spent all week working on a big video, its an hour and 15 mins long with a lot of editing work in it, its part of a series on youtube. This level of work isn't new to me or my pc but for some reason iv faced the following issues with exporting this video.
1. The 1st attempt to export was taking 4 times longer than the video duration and then eventually just stopped, didn't crash or hang, just stopped.
After this issue I restarted my pc and rolled my Nvidia drivers to the Studio version, as a sense of false hope I guess.
2. The 2nd attempt went through just fine and when I went to watch the video and test the quality before uploading I noticed the visuals stopped at a certain point. The audio kept going just fine but the the visuals stopped. It would show the last frame that worked. I tried on VLC and on the Windows Media player.
3. I decided to clear out the temp files etc and do a full render on the timeline before trying to export again, this time the Media Encoder wouldn't open. It didn't crash it just loaded half way and it stopped.
Anyone have any idea what this might be and how to fix it?

First question, is do you have enough space on the drive?
Premiere needs at least four to five times the expected file size in free space on that drive. A long video like that is going to take a lot of space.
So about how many gigs will the file size be? Multiply that times six to be safe, and make sure you have that much free space.
Second, if you have ample free space ... what effects are applied to that sequence?
If you have any Warp or speed ramping, or AE comps, do a render & replace on those clips so the heavy processing involved is done & baked into the sequence media. Then do your export.
Third, if you have a lot of stacked tracks, Simplify the sequence. That cuts a lot of processing down too.

Hey thank you for your reply.
1. the file size expected is 17-20gb and I have over 200gb free!
2. as for effects its luma keys, ultra keys, zooms, keyframe movement, visual inverts... these are all things iv used before in the same type of videos with no issues.
Ill try the render and replace idea tbh, the 1st version of the video got to a certain point where there IS visual effects so that is a good idea!
When you say Simplify, what do you mean? is that a function inside Premier Pro?

Thank you!
So I fixed the issue at hand.. I tried the Simplify thing and that didn't work, fresh clean project and that didn't work, with and without media encoder and that didn't work and then randomly at 6am I got a fully working 1 hour and 15 min long video out of it. Im happy its fixed but I wish I knew the issue.
