Hello everyone!

Today my IT dept. gave me an external Graphic Card as mentioned in the title.

  • GIGABYTE WATERFORCE GeForce RTX 3080 10G which is Connected by  Thunderbold3 to my Laptop:
  • Which is a 2020 Lenovo ThinkPad P1
    • Prozessor Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-10750H CPU @ 2.60GHz 2.59 GHz
    • and RAM 48,0 GB
    • NVIDIA T1000

So while PSD & AI working perfect with this external Card,

PPro & AE telling me that Cards doesn't have a supported Videodriver.

I do have the latest NVIDIA Driver so there is notin i see i could do...  I mean.. even this Weak T1000 internal GPU does not have any issues.. and this card is also advertised with "For Creators" => Wether you are doing Video Editing, 3d Animation, Photography...

Well.. Ok so far for the Marketing...
... how can i make PPro & AE "happy" - do i need some special Setup to enable it?  The only SETUP i see ist the general setting where CUDA is selected.

My internal GeForce t1000 is sort of active. Should i deactivate it in the Device Management?

Thanks,

Markus

You have a very old (sept 2021) video driver installed.

Go to Nvidia and install the latest studio driver and install manually.

https://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx

You do not need the Experience, might want to uninstall.

Which driver (number?) is installed? Studio driver is preferred.
