Frame.io: Unsupported account; what is Frame.io??

Lately when I open a Premiere project using v25.1, the Effect Controls window will be replaced by something called, "Frame.io" and it will ask me to log in. Unfortunately, whenever I attempt to log in with my Adobe account, it will either say, "Something went wrong" or I will get this error:

Unsupported Account. Access to this account with the new Frame.io V4 Comments panel.

What's with the ambiguous error? What is Frame.io anyway? And how do I make it stop? Thanks.

It sounds like you have that as part of a workspace. So change that workspace.

Remove the Frame.io panel, save the workspace.

I've seen things where Frame.io has a Frame account for a user, but also an account I guess you could say "through" Premiere for the same user. So when in Premiere the user tries using Frame, it's thinking they're just using the more limited version all users get for basic working.

And the user is expecting to use their full account capabilities.

It's 'taken care of' somehow by logging and out signing in ... perhaps in some correct order, on a Blood Thursday before a full moon .... I dunno ...

I get the same message now, but I've been using f.io a lot for over a year.  Why is this message popping up now when I'm using the review option in PrPro 2025?  And does anyone know the fix?

Oh, we all get annoyed with companies at times. Doesn't seem to make a difference which one, but all companies will annoying things. But then, all individual people will at times do annoying things, so ... that's just the nature of being Human.

Unfortunately, two months later and it still won't stop. Very annoying that whenever I open a Premiere project the first thing I need to do is switch away from this broken dialog back to my Effects settings.

That is a service for creating communication to other members of a production team about the editing of the project. If you're not using it to communicate with others of a project team, ignore it.
