Computer: Apple M1 Max
Canon C70 files: XF-AVC YCC422 10BIT 4K LONG GOP
MXF Files
Without fail on every project I work on within 30 minutes of using Premiere, I get the "Frame substitution recursion attempt after multiple attempts on file..." OR Error retrieving frame" -IE Drop frames while editing.
I am aware of the workaround "Delete Render Files" this doesn't work for me - the same error continues.
I ingest using Media Browser within the program.
Only work around I have is creating proxies but this shouldn't be occuring regardless.
Please advise.

Here is a work around for those using the C70 or Canon - shoot your files with the following settings for no drop frame issues - Long GOP seems to be the issue potentially or Clog2...
XF-AVC YCC422 10 Bit
3840X2160 Intra-Frame
250mbps
Colour profiles tested so far are:
C1:BT. 709 Wide DR
Clog3
Yet to test Clog2

Hello @samuelboneham,
Thanks for the message. It’s been a long time since you filed this bug, and I apologize for the lack of a response. Are you still having this issue? If so, the team will need more information from you to reproduce the bug. Can you provide the information required here? How do I write a bug report?
Are you still using the workaround instead? Please also let me know.
I'll move your post to the Discussions board while we await your information.
Thanks,
Kevin
