Hello everyone,
I'm losing my nerve. When I extend a clip with the cursor, the entire sequence is automatically extended. When I cut the clip, the gap is automatically closed and the sequence is shortened. There must be a checkmark somewhere that is driving me crazy.
I also have the problem that I can only enlarge the sequence very slowly with the mouse. If I turn the wheel quickly, the sequence becomes very small again in the view.

Hello,
Do you use any custom keyboard shortcuts or layouts? Are you using the latest version or beta version of Premiere Pro?

Hallo zusammen,

Take screenshots of your preferences, specifically General, Trim and Timeline.
Reset the preferences and compare what options were different to discover the culprit.

Sorry that you are experiencing this odd behavior. In addition of checking your Preferences & settings, are you perhaps using the Ripple Edit Tool rather than the Selection tool?

Thank you for your answer. I am using the newest firmware of Premiere Pro Beta. I had set some keyboard shortcuts. But even after the reset the error persists

I use the selection tool. The funny thing is that the exact opposite happens with the ripple tool. I can shorten or lengthen the clip without the sequence changing.

I have now reset everything. Now it works.
The problem with the mouse scrolling remains.
If I scroll quickly and want to make the timeline larger, it jumps back to small. It only works if I scroll very slowly.

Can you please file that second bug separately, @stephans25496921. Each report should contain only a single issue.
Thanks,
Kevin
