garbled sound: hardware? software?

Hello-

I recorded some video on a Canon T6i, using a Rode NGT2 mic. I imported it into Premiere Pro (CC) on my computer (HP Z2) and edited it. It's a small part of an instructional video, and I did the voiceover for the rest of the video using a Blue Yeti, recording with Audition. When I play the whole video while editing with Premiere, from Audition, or when I play the finished product- the exported .mp4- on my computer, everything is fine.

When I play it on another system in a classroom, the part I recorded with the Canon/Rode setup is a garbled, hissy mess at a meager volume. I tried exporting in different formats, dropping the sound into Audacity, and screen-capturing the footage. I can play it using Audacity, but after export, it's garbage when I play the .wav or .mp3 on the other system.

To be honest, I'm not even sure where to ask about this issue. Does my computer have some kind of codec that the other system doesn't? Is this a hardware issue? Is it the software?

This happened once before and I looked around online for quite a while last time, too. Little help?

I'm going home now to maybe not think about this for the weekend.
