gradient wipe problem

so i have this footage with gradient wipe on it (keyframed for a transition) but everytime i export it this error pops up (also when previewing it on the timeline it shows media pending but playback is fine, the footage isnt offline)

i tried everything from nesting the footage before applying effect to turning off gpu acceleration to updating gpu drivers and it still doesnt work (also exporting in media encoder shows the same error)

premiere version 14.0

figured out why: it was an anamorphic footage and i had to desqueeze it
